The jobs cookies do on Uhmingle
A cookie is a small text file your browser keeps so a website can tell one session from another. Uhmingle uses them for exactly three things: keeping your guest session together across a match, recalling a few preferences, and counting page visits without identifying anybody.
The cookies Uhmingle sets
The necessary ones carry the load — they bring your guest session into every match, and turning them off stops the service from working at all. Preference cookies remember small choices so you are never asked twice. Analytics cookies only count in aggregate: which pages get opened, never who opened them.
Cookies set by partners
Buying coins runs through an external payment processor, and checkout may set that processor’s own cookies for payment handling and fraud screening. They are governed by the processor’s own policy, and the card details under their guard never touch our servers.
Blocking cookies, or clearing them out
Any modern browser can block or erase cookies from its privacy settings. Block the necessary ones and matching and sign-in break outright; block the rest and the site simply forgets a few preferences. Wiping cookies clears the guest session as well — occasionally that is precisely the point.
Changes and questions
If the cookie setup ever changes, this page is updated to match — the version here is always the current one. The wider data story sits in the privacy policy; anything still unclear goes to [email protected] via the contact page.
