Privacy Policy

What data Uhmingle handles as you browse, get matched and talk on camera — guest sessions, camera and microphone access, cookies, moderation signals, plus the options that stay in your hands.

Meet a stranger face to face →

The short version

Uhmingle seats two strangers in a private video call, and trying it costs nothing. Reading the public pages — this one, the FAQ, the guides — never asks who you are, and nothing you read here gets tied to a name.

Camera and microphone

Your camera and microphone belong to your browser’s permission switch, not to us. Nothing leaves your device until you allow it yourself. A call on Uhmingle is a locked room of two people: no spectators, no public channel, no copy forwarded anywhere. And there is no app to install, so no software of ours ever sits on your phone.

The plumbing every call depends on

Keeping a live matcher running takes some routine machinery: general device and browser information, server logs with IP addresses and timestamps, and anonymous counts of page opens. Your guest session stores only what it runs on — the balance of free matches and any coins you hold. Payments go through outside processors, meaning full card numbers never touch our servers. The terms of service describe the money side in the same plain way.

Cookies, minus the jargon

Three jobs, nothing else: cookies hold your guest session together across a match, remember a couple of preferences, and count visits without attaching them to a person. A few of them are strictly necessary — switch those off and matching breaks entirely. The cookie policy keeps the full list plus the switches for refusing or deleting them.

Reports and moderation

When you report or block someone, context from that session can go along with it so a moderator can see what happened. That is the loop that removes repeat offenders from the queue permanently. The rules being enforced are written out in the community guidelines.

The switches that remain in your hands

Camera on or off, stay or skip, keep the session or wipe it — leaving a call takes one tap, and closing the tab ends everything on the spot. To ask for session data to be corrected or erased, use the contact page. Nobody’s personal information gets sold here, in any form, at any price.
